The story

Where light was once painted

On one of Bergen’s most beautiful lanes once stood the studio of the Dutch painter and draughtsman Gerrit van Blaaderen. It has been carefully transformed into a distinctive home while preserving its characteristic tall studio window on the front facade and its thatched roof — the light the artist sought still pours inside.

Welcome to our remarkable house.
